About

A daily trend-and-volatility switcher. Uses SPY’s 200‑day trend to set risk‑on/off, then a 0–100 speed‑of‑move signal (RSI) on QQQ/SPY/bonds to flip between shorting volatility (SVXY), hedges (PSQ/BTAL), long vol (UVXY), or 3x tech (TQQQ).
NutHow it works
Daily switches using two steps. 1) Trend: if SPY (S&P 500 fund) is above its 200‑day average → risk‑on; else → risk‑off. 2) If short‑term is choppy, it picks the strongest among 3x stock/tech, Treasuries, or gold ETFs. Otherwise it runs a “short‑vol” engine using RSI (a 0–100 gauge of how fast price moved over ~10 days): very hot QQQ/SPY → buy UVXY (long volatility); very cold QQQ → buy TQQQ (3x tech); else hold SVXY (profits when volatility falls) unless stress shows, then hold PSQ (inverse QQQ) or BTAL (defensive).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe ~0.67 and ~22.2% annualized return vs SPY’s ~23.3%, with a daily trend-and-volatility engine that adapts to regime changes and adds hedges for diversification and risk control.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
