About
A market-timing strategy: if cash has recently beaten stocks, it plays defense with dividends, utilities, gold, and T-bills; if stocks are stronger, it goes aggressive with 3x leveraged S&P 500 and Nasdaq funds.
Every day, the strategy asks a simple question: over the last 60 days, did cash-like Treasury bills (BIL) do better than the broad U.S. stock market (SPY)?
If yes, it shifts into a more defensive mix: blue-chip stocks, dividend stocks, utilities, short-term T-bills, and gold.
If no, it gets aggressive and splits money between two 3x leveraged U.S. stock funds: UPRO and TQQQ.
Out-of-sample annualized return ~34.8% vs SPY 20%, driven by a disciplined regime switch: go 3x long when stocks lead, or defensively rotate to cash/dividends/gold when they don’t. Calmar ~1.08 with higher upside, but higher drawdowns.
