About

Three-sleeve, mostly defensive, rules-based portfolio. Rotates among SH (short S&P), IEF (Treasuries), UUP (US dollar), DBC (commodities), SPY/TLT, plus a small tactical sleeve that sometimes uses 3x ETFs (UPRO, TQQQ, SQQQ) based on RSI and trends.
NutHow it works
Three parts: • 60% defense: picks two of SH (short S&P), IEF (Treasuries), UUP (US dollar) by 6‑month results; weights favor calmer choices. • 20% broad: picks two of SPY, TLT (long Treasuries), UUP, DBC (commodities) the same way. • 20% tactical: if S&P is above its 200‑day avg, hold QQQ unless RSI (short‑term heat; high=hot, low=washed‑out) is extreme—then switch to TLT or SQQQ. If below, buy 3x longs (UPRO/TQQQ) on deep dips; else hedge with SQQQ or TLT.
CheckmarkValue prop
Defensive, rules-based multi-asset strategy that reduces risk vs the S&P: out-of-sample drawdown ~12% vs ~19%, beta ~0.19, lower volatility, and steadier, risk-managed growth. Durable downside protection in turbulent markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
