About

If markets or key sectors look overheated, it buys UVXY to bet on a volatility spike. Otherwise it flips between SOXL (3× bull) and SOXS (3× bear) using short‑term signals from semiconductors. Single‑position, very high risk.
NutHow it works
It checks a short‑term “heat” score (RSI, 0–100) on big market funds (SPY, QQQ) and sectors (VTV=value, VOX=communications, XLP=staples, XLF=financials). If any score is very high, it buys UVXY, a volatility fund that jumps when stocks drop. Otherwise it trades semiconductors, flipping between SOXL (3× bull) and SOXS (3× bear) using SOXX’s short‑term heat and 1‑day move. Holds one fund at a time; very high risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample underperforms the S&P: Sharpe ~0.48 vs ~0.93, max drawdown ~83% vs ~19%, and negative annualized return. Best only for ultra-tolerant investors seeking volatility-driven bets; not for broad growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
