About

A rules‑based, daily‑rebalanced portfolio that rotates across stocks, bonds, and commodities and adds hedges. It buys uptrends, buys some tech dips, hedges or goes short when stocks overheat, and parks in T‑bills when signals are weak.
NutHow it works
It watches “speed/heat” (RSI) and trend lines (moving averages) on big indexes and assets: SPY (S&P 500), QQQ (Nasdaq‑100), TLT (long US Treasuries), plus oil, gold, and natural‑gas ETFs. If stocks look overheated, it hedges with PSQ/SH (short QQQ/S&P) or VIXY/UVXY. If they look washed‑out, it buys growth (QQQ/XLK). It also rotates in/out of Treasuries (TMF/TMV) and commodities (DBC/DBO/DBA). If nothing’s attractive, it holds T‑bills SHV/BIL. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Sharper, steadier exposure: out-of-sample Sharpe 1.295 vs 1.103, drawdown 7.8% vs 18.8%, beta ~0.50, Calmar 2.22. Raw return 17.34% vs 19.58%, but far stronger risk-adjusted performance vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
