About

A rule‑based, daily strategy that leans into uptrends (often tech and selective commodities) and quickly hedges or parks in T‑Bills when markets overheat or weaken. Uses simple “hot/cold” scores and trend lines to switch between growth, Treasuries, cash, and hedges.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks if markets look hot or cold using short‑term “heat” scores (RSI) and simple trend lines (moving averages). If things are hot/overstretched, it cuts risk or hedges (T‑Bills: SHV/BIL, Treasuries: TLT/TMF, or inverse funds: PSQ/SH). After sharp dips, it buys quality growth (QQQ/XLK) if the longer trend is healthy. It adds oil, gold and other commodities only when they’re in uptrends. It uses VIX funds (VIXY/SVXY) only with strict safeguards.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~6.18% annualized return with a small ~1.75% max drawdown and a Calmar ~3.53—delivers far stronger risk-adjusted performance than SPY’s drawdowns. Daily regime switching hedges heat and captures growth across stocks, bonds, and commodities.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
