About

A simple, unleveraged, daily strategy that buys recent “losers” for quick rebounds: one pick from a small stock/utility list and one from a mostly‑bonds list, split 50/50. Can concentrate if both lists choose the same fund.
NutHow it works
What it buys (tickers): QQQ (large US tech), SPY (largest US stocks), XLU (utilities), XLP (consumer staples), TLT (long‑term Treasuries), LQD (inv‑grade corporate bonds), BSV (short‑term bonds), VBF (bond CEF). Each day it scores the last 10 trading days; lower score = more recently sold‑off. From two small lists, it buys the weakest fund in each and splits money 50/50. If both lists pick the same fund, it holds just that one. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this unleveraged strategy beats the S&P on risk-adjusted return: Sharpe ~11.49 vs ~1.73; annualized return ~154.58% vs ~17.61%; Calmar ~216.92; max drawdown ~0.71% vs ~2.53%; beta ~0.49.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
