About

A two-layer, volatility-aware momentum system that rotates into top-performing chips/energy/commodities while using hedges and inflation plays to guard against spikes in volatility.
NutHow it works
Two-part system: (1) when volatility is not extreme, pick the single best momentum idea among semis, chips, energy and commodities and own it; (2) when volatility spikes, switch to hedges (inverse/levered ETFs) and inflation hedges while keeping some cash, using RSI and momentum rules to decide which assets hedge and when to tilt toward aggressive bets. A separate inflation-hedge block adds gold, real estate, dollar bets, and volatility products to reduce risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets higher upside (26.9% vs SPY’s 23%) by riding momentum in chips/energy/commodities with inflation hedges and volatility guards. It adds diversification and adaptive risk controls for growth seekers tolerant of drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
