About

A two-sleeve tactical strategy that chases the strongest trend (stocks, chips, energy, or commodities) and quickly flips to volatility or short stock funds when panic hits. Uses trend filters and momentum, often with leveraged ETFs; can be very aggressive.
NutHow it works
Two sleeves (about 50/50). If a volatility fund (VIXM) is “hot” (RSI high), flip defensive (VIX funds or 3x short S&P). Otherwise, compare long-run stock vs commodity trends. If stocks lead and trend up, favor leveraged stock ETFs (UPRO/TQQQ) with short-term rules; if commodities lead, rotate among gold/oil/grains/other commodity ETFs. If trends weaken, shift to defensives (bonds, real estate, USD).
CheckmarkValue prop
A dynamic, rule-based strategy aiming for higher upside than the S&P 500: ~27.2% oos annualized return vs ~23.4% SPY, via stock/commodity leadership and volatility hedges; but it carries large drawdowns (~54%), suited for risk-tolerant portfolios.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
