About

Rules-based switcher that goes big on the S&P 500 with 4x leverage after selloffs or in uptrends, hides in broad bonds when risk rises, and occasionally buys a volatility fund during extremes. Very aggressive, timing-heavy, and high risk.
NutHow it works
It always picks one fund: 4x S&P 500 (SPYU), broad bonds (IUSB), or a “fear” fund that jumps when market stress spikes (UVIX). It reads simple gauges: RSI (a heat meter of recent up vs down days), moving averages (trend), drawdowns (recent falls), and stock-vs-bond strength. In panics or when stocks look stretched, it may buy UVIX. After sharp selloffs, if stocks look washed-out, it buys SPYU. In calmer times, if the trend is up it holds SPYU; otherwise it parks in IUSB.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~23.4% annualized return vs ~18% for SPY, via rules-based rotation among leveraged equities, bonds, and volatility hedges. Higher upside and diversification, but more drawdowns and volatility than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
