About

A daily, cash-equal, RSI-and-trend–driven allocation across broad ETFs, shifting to SHV when market momentum gets overheated and deploying an even mix of equity proxies when conditions look constructive.
NutHow it works
Every day, the model checks whether the market looks overheated using a 10-day RSI on SPY and several broad ETFs. If SPY’s RSI is very high (above about 79), it moves money into a cash-like asset (SHV) to reduce risk. If not, it looks at other ETFs and RSI signals; many branches simply test whether those ETFs’ RSI(10) exceed 79 and, if so, steer toward cash again. If the market shows constructive trend (for example, SPY trading above its 200-day moving average), the strategy allows exposure to SPY and other broad-market ETFs, allocating evenly across the chosen assets rather than concentrating in any single one. The allocation is rebalanced daily, and SHV serves as the default ballast when risk signals fire. In short: risk-off when momentum indicators scream “overbought”; otherwise, ride a diversified, equal-weight basket of equity proxies with a trend check to avoid buying into a weak market. Note: several assets (IOO, XLP, VTV, VOX, SOXX, SPY, QQQ, etc.) are used as proxies for different parts of the equity market, plus SHV as cash and PSQ as a hedging option in some branches.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe ~1.06 vs SPY ~1.04; lower beta ~0.70; drawdown 17.1% vs 18.8%; Calmar ~0.99. Diversified, rule-based equity basket with daily rebalancing and cash hedging—better risk-adjusted returns than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
