About

A 3‑switch trend strategy that toggles between SPY (stocks) and SHY (short Treasuries). Each “yes” signal puts one‑third into SPY; otherwise it parks in SHY. Signals: SPY vs 85‑day average, 8‑ vs 200‑day trend, and TIP vs SHV momentum.
NutHow it works
SPY = big US stocks; SHY = short‑term US Treasury bonds; TIP = inflation‑protected Treasuries; SHV = T‑bills. We split your money into 3 equal slices. Each slice asks a trend question. If “yes,” that slice buys SPY; if “no,” it holds SHY. Questions: (1) Is SPY above its 85‑day average? (2) Is SPY’s short‑term (8‑day) trend stronger than its long‑term (200‑day)? (3) Are TIP beating SHV over ~60 days? We only rebalance when weights drift ~5%.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted return with far smaller drawdowns. Sharpe 1.47 vs SPY 1.22; Calmar ~1.94; max drawdown 8.5% vs 18.8%. 16.4% annualized with risk control—stronger downside protection than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
