About

Daily switch: normally hold SPY. If SPY’s 10‑day RSI > 80 (very hot), move 100% to UVXY, a volatility ETF that can surge when stocks drop. Aims to profit from quick pullbacks; carries high risk if the rally continues.
NutHow it works
- Each day it checks SPY (the big fund that tracks the S&P 500, i.e., 500 major U.S. stocks). - It computes a 10‑day RSI, a 0–100 gauge of recent speed: high when gains have far outweighed losses. Above 80 = very “hot/overbought.” - If RSI > 80, it buys UVXY, a volatility fund tied to VIX futures that often jumps when markets fall (but tends to lose value over time). - Otherwise, it holds SPY. 100% in one or the other; rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return 27.2% vs SPY 20.1%; stronger risk-adjusted gains (Sharpe ~1.48 vs 1.26), solid Calmar ~1.45, and max drawdown ~18.8%. Beta ~0.97 offers upside with lower market sensitivity.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
