This strategy tries to behave like a calmer version of the S&P 500. When the market has been stable, it leans into stocks using funds that amplify S&P 500 moves. When markets get rough, it shifts part of the portfolio into safer holdings like short-term Treasury bonds, gold, and inflation-protected bonds. It also keeps a small always-on S&P 500 position, sometimes buys the Nasdaq after sharp drops, and holds separate hedges in the US dollar, bonds, and oil.
