About

A tactical S&P 500 plan that rides uptrends (SPY), buys dips with leverage (SPXL), and shifts to defenses—gold (GLD), US dollar (UUP), or brief UVXY—when fear or downtrends appear. Uses 200‑day trend, RSI, and panic spikes to switch.
NutHow it works
It watches three things: the market’s long‑term trend (SPY vs its 200‑day average), short‑term “hot/cold” readings (10‑day RSI), and fear spikes (UVXY). In uptrends it holds SPY and sometimes the 3× bull SPXL on dips. In downtrends it mostly hides in gold (GLD) and the US dollar (UUP). If fear jumps, it may briefly buy UVXY or move to gold/dollar. Gold vs dollar is sized toward the calmer one.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted returns and lower drawdown vs the S&P 500. Sharpe ~1.61 vs ~1.29; Calmar ~3.50; annualized return ~43% vs ~22%, driven by regime switching and hedging that ride uptrends and protect downside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
