About

A tactical S&P 500 plan that flips between stocks (SPY/SPXL), safe havens (gold GLD and US dollar UUP), and a crash hedge (UVXY). It follows the 200‑day trend, buys dips, avoids chasing hot markets, and balances risk in defensive mode.
NutHow it works
1) Check the S&P 500’s long-term trend (200‑day line). If up, be bullish; if not, be defensive. 2) Bullish: usually hold SPY (US stocks). If the market is very “cold” (RSI ~≤31), briefly use SPXL (3x SPY) to play rebounds. If things look “hot” (RSI high, big 1‑day pop, or fear jumps), step aside to GLD (gold) + UUP (US dollar). 3) Defensive: hold GLD+UUP; if fear is extreme, use UVXY (volatility). GLD/UUP are sized to balance risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~44.9% annual return (vs 22% SPY), Sharpe 1.64 vs 1.29, max drawdown ~12.3% vs 18.8% for SPY. Low beta (~0.08) plus gold/USD hedges deliver stronger upside with better downside protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
