A stock-market timing strategy that usually bets on the S&P 500, gets aggressive after pullbacks, and shifts to gold, the U.S. dollar, or a panic hedge when markets look stressed.

This strategy asks a simple question: are U.S. stocks healthy or in trouble? If the broad market (SPY, the S&P 500) is in a strong long-term uptrend, it usually owns stocks—sometimes plain SPY, sometimes SPXL, which is a much more aggressive version that moves about 3x as much each day. If stocks look overheated, fall too fast, or fear suddenly spikes, it backs away from stocks and moves into gold (GLD), the U.S. dollar (UUP), or sometimes UVXY, a fund that tends to jump when market panic rises. In short: lean bullish in good times, but switch to protection when conditions look dangerous.
