About

A simple 50/50 split between SPY (broad U.S. stocks) and cash, rebalanced daily. It aims for a calmer ride than being fully in stocks, trading small amounts to keep balance, at the cost of lower long‑term returns.
NutHow it works
Holds two things: 1) SPY, a fund that tracks the 500 biggest U.S. companies (Apple, Google, Tesla, etc.), and 2) cash. Each gets 50%. Every day it rebalances to stay near 50/50: if SPY grows above 50% it trims; if it falls, it buys using cash. Expect a smoother ride and smaller drops than all‑stocks, but also lower long‑term growth.
CheckmarkValue prop
Nearly matched SPY returns (≈13.35%/yr) with a smoother ride. Sharpe ~0.78, Calmar ~0.60, and max drawdown ≈22%. A 50/50 SPY–cash mix with daily rebalancing offers market exposure at lower volatility and steadier growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
