About

Switches 100% among SPY (normal), SPXL when SPY looks washed out (RSI<25), and UVXY when SPY looks overheated (RSI>85). Aims to buy dips with leverage and own volatility in frothy markets. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
It watches a 7‑day “heat gauge” of the S&P 500 (SPY) called RSI, which ranges 0–100. - If RSI < 25 (very weak), go 100% into SPXL (3× S&P 500) to ride a rebound. - If RSI > 85 (very hot), go 100% into UVXY (2× VIX futures) to profit from a pullback/volatility spike. - Otherwise hold SPY. Sectors: SPY/SPXL = all S&P 500 sectors; UVXY = volatility, not a sector. Very risky.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this RSI-driven regime rotates 100% into SPY/SPXL/UVXY, delivering ~29% annualized return vs ~17.6% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.04. Higher upside in volatile regimes, but with larger drawdowns (~28% vs ~19%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
