About

Quarterly rotation across 77 big U.S. stocks. In uptrends it buys laggards; in downtrends it buys leaders. If the market looks hot (SPY RSI>60), it moves to BTAL, a defensive fund long low‑risk and short high‑risk stocks. Equal‑weight 25 names.
NutHow it works
Every quarter it starts with 77 big U.S. stocks (top holdings of SPY, the S&P 500 ETF, and QQQ, the Nasdaq‑100 ETF). It checks SPY’s 60‑day RSI—a 0–100 score of recent price strength (high=hot, low=cold). If RSI>60, it buys BTAL, a defensive fund that bets low‑risk stocks beat high‑risk stocks. Otherwise: if SPY rose in 60 days, it buys 25 laggards (lowest 200‑day RSI); if SPY fell, it buys 25 leaders (highest 200‑day RSI). Equal weight.
CheckmarkValue prop
Quarterly, rule-based rotation with a defensive hedge in hot markets. Lower beta (~0.44), similar drawdowns, and potential alpha in volatile periods—offering a risk/return profile that can complement the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
