About
Chase space stocks when the space sector is trending up; otherwise shift into bonds and defensive sectors. It always holds two positions, chosen by a simple recent‑strength score, and splits the money evenly.
It first checks the space sector’s trend using ARKX: if ARKX’s 50‑day average price is above its 200‑day, that’s an uptrend. Then it buys 2 space/aerospace stocks with the strongest recent gains (via an RSI score: 0–100; higher = stronger). If not, it goes defensive, buying 2 bond/defensive‑sector ETFs that have fallen the most lately (lower RSI). The two picks are split 50/50.
An out-of-sample space/defense strategy with high upside (69%/yr) and strong Calmar (~1.91) plus positive alpha, using a regime filter to shift to defensives in downturns—aiming for better risk-adjusted returns than the S&P.
