About

Daily, it rides S&P uptrends with leverage, steps aside when prices look “too hot,” and in downtrends either plays tech bounces, fades overextended rallies by shorting QQQ, or hides in Treasuries/short bonds/gold.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks trend and “heat.” Trend: is SPY above its 200‑day average? Heat: RSI, a 0–100 gauge of how hot/cold recent moves are. In uptrends it holds 2x S&P (SSO) unless things look too hot, then it parks in SHV or briefly rotates to IEF/BSV/GLD. In downtrends it may buy oversold tech (TECL), fade sharp rallies with PSQ, go long QQQ, or hide in Treasuries/short bonds. One holding at a time.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets far higher upside than the S&P: ~59% annualized return with Calmar ~1.75. It rides uptrends with leverage and hedges pullbacks, offering strong risk-adjusted upside despite larger stress drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
