About
A fast-moving semiconductor timing strategy that switches between a bullish 3x chip fund, a bearish 3x chip fund, and mostly T-bills based on whether chip stocks look overheated or beaten down.
This strategy watches semiconductor stocks through SOXX, a fund that holds chip companies like Nvidia and AMD.
It uses RSI, a 0–100 “speedometer” of recent price moves: high means prices have run up a lot; low means they’ve fallen quickly.
If chip stocks look very overextended, it buys SOXS, which rises when chip stocks fall. If chip stocks look washed out, it may buy SOXL, which rises when chip stocks rise. Otherwise it stays mostly in BIL (T-bills/cash-like) with a small bearish position in SOXS.
Out-of-sample edge: ~32.9% annualized vs SPY ~21.5%, achieved through disciplined semiconductor timing and cash hedges. Bigger upside in tech cycles with higher drawdowns (~50% vs ~19%), suited for fearless growth seekers.
