About

Daily, tactical semiconductor strategy. It fades big one‑day moves using 3x bull/bear funds (SOXL/SOXS) and uses trend/volatility and bond signals to either stay long semis or step aside into short‑term bonds/cash.
NutHow it works
Tickers used: SOXL = 3x bullish semiconductors; SOXS = 3x bearish. SMH = semiconductor gauge. BSV/BIL = short‑term bonds/cash. SPY (S&P 500), TQQQ (3x Nasdaq), UVXY/SVXY (fear/calm), IEF/TLT/BND (bond funds). Rebalances daily. If semis jump or drop a lot in a day, it often takes the opposite side with ~70% (fade the move). The rest follows the market mood: in calm/uptrends it favors SOXL; in stress it parks in bonds/cash; during extreme stress it holds more cash.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted returns than the S&P (Sharpe ~1.53 vs ~1.33; Calmar ~2.17). Levered semis with a fade-the-move rule and bond/cash hedges aim for bigger upside with controlled drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
