About

Daily, it fades extreme 10‑day moves in semiconductor ETFs; flips to the opposite side after big surges, otherwise buys 3x tech when semis look oversold, or waits in a cash‑like ETF. Very high risk when in 3x funds.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks 10‑day moves in SOXL (3x long semis) and SOXS (3x short semis). If SOXL rose >31%, it switches to SOXS, betting on a pullback. If SOXS rose >25%, it buys SOXL, betting on a bounce. If neither, and SOXL’s RSI (a gauge of how stretched losses are; low=oversold) is <31, it buys TECL (3x long tech). Otherwise it sits in BOXX, a cash‑like ETF earning T‑bill yield.
CheckmarkValue prop
Rule-based, mean-reversion strategy in semis/tech with a cash buffer. Out-of-sample: ~16% annualized return, Calmar ~0.56, Sharpe ~0.50. Diversifies risk and offers potential upside in choppy markets vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
