About

Rules-based trend strategy that scales between cash-like T‑bills and a 3x semiconductor ETF. It adds exposure in four 25% steps as short-, medium-, and long-term trends turn positive; retreats to T‑bills when trends weaken. Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Each day the portfolio is split into 4 equal parts. For each part it holds either SOXL (a 3x semiconductor ETF) or BIL (T‑bills) based on simple trend checks of SOXL: is price above its recent average (20‑day) or long-term average (200‑day), and are shorter averages above longer ones? More checks true = more SOXL; else BIL.
CheckmarkValue prop
Rules-based, four-slice trend strategy that scales into 3x semis only when trends confirm, hedged with daily BIL exposure. Out-of-sample: ~46.8% annualized return, Sharpe ~0.93, Calmar ~0.74—strong upside with disciplined risk vs. S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
