About

Daily rule: buy a 3x semiconductor fund only when it’s very beaten down (10‑day RSI < 31); otherwise sit in short‑term T‑bills. Seeks quick rebounds; avoids weak periods, but risk is very high when in SOXL.
NutHow it works
Each day the system checks SOXL’s 10‑day “oversold” score (RSI). SOXL is a fund that tries to triple the daily moves of semiconductor stocks. RSI rates recent down‑days vs up‑days from 0–100; low = it’s fallen fast. If RSI < 31, buy SOXL. Otherwise hold BIL, a short‑term U.S. T‑bill fund. It can switch daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~48% annual return vs ~23% SPY, but higher drawdowns (~28% vs ~15%). RSI dip-buying on 3x semis targets sharp rebounds, offering sector alpha for risk-tolerant investors beyond the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
