About

A daily, rules-based swing strategy: buy SOXL (a 3x semiconductor fund) only when its 10‑day RSI is under 31 (very oversold). Otherwise park in BIL (short-term T‑bills). Concentrated and high risk; aims to catch quick rebounds.
NutHow it works
Each day the strategy checks SOXL, a fund aiming for 3x the daily move of semiconductor stocks (chip makers). It calculates a 10‑day RSI, a 0–100 score of recent price moves—low means it’s fallen hard. If RSI < 31: put 100% into SOXL to try for a rebound. Else: hold 100% in BIL, a cash‑like T‑bill fund.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample shows ~46.5% annualized return vs SPY ~22.9%, with a disciplined RSI(10) rule to chase oversold SOXL and park in BIL otherwise. High upside in semiconductors, but larger drawdowns than SPY are possible.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
