About

A rules-based rotation that tries to ride big chip/tech uptrends with 3x ETFs and shift to inverse or Treasury plays when momentum sours. It uses simple trend/volatility checks, avoids getting stuck in SOXS, and trades only when thresholds are crossed.
NutHow it works
It takes the market’s temperature using simple gauges of trend strength, choppiness, and recent losses. • If trends look healthy, it equally holds 2–3 fast movers from: SOXL (3x chips), TQQQ (3x Nasdaq 100), SPXL (3x S&P 500), sometimes TMF (3x long Treasuries). • If trends weaken or get shaky, it flips to defense using SOXS/SQQQ/SPXS (3x bearish) or TMF/TMV (3x Treasuries). Extra rules only allow SOXS when it’s actually trending up and cut it quickly if it starts to slip. • It trades on thresholds (not daily) to cut churn; small drift (~3%) doesn’t trigger trades.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Calmar ~57, Sharpe ~2.32, oos return ~1350%, max drawdown ~23.6%. Levered trend bets on semis/Nasdaq with hedges aim to outperform the S&P on upside while managing risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
