About

Aggressive, tech‑centric playbook: ride uptrends with TQQQ/TECL/UPRO, go to cash/gold or short QQQ when signals weaken, and occasionally buy volatility (UVXY) on extremes. Uses trend (200‑day), short‑term “hot/cold” scores, and bonds‑vs‑cash checks.
NutHow it works
1) Regime: Is the S&P 500 above its 200‑day average (a long‑term trend line)? If yes, it mainly rides TQQQ (3× Nasdaq‑100). On fast dips it buys TECL/UPRO (3× tech/S&P). If overheated (RSI = 0–100 “hot/cold”), it briefly buys UVXY (VIX). If momentum weakens, it moves to BIL (T‑bills), GLD (gold), or shorts QQQ via PSQ/SQQQ. It also checks if bonds/credit (BND/AGG/CORP) beat cash. If not in uptrend, it mostly holds PSQ/SQQQ, plus GLD/UVXY or cash.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy captures tech-led uptrends with dynamic hedges, delivering ~39% annualized return vs ~18% for the S&P, but with higher drawdowns and volatility. Suitable for growth-focused, risk-tolerant investors.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
