About

A daily, rules-based mix of growth bets and hedges that shifts exposure between tech/growth assets and volatility/bond hedges based on momentum and price checks to pursue gains while controlling risk.
NutHow it works
Each day the strategy computes momentum and price indicators for a group of assets (eg, Nvidia, broad market SPY, tech bets, volatility and bond proxies). If signals look favorable, it increases exposure to growth assets (NVDA, TECL, UPRO) and reduces hedges. If signals suggest risk, it shifts toward hedges (VIXY/UVXY, PSQ) and ballast (IEF/BND, BIL). Cash serves as a base ballast in uncertain moments. The result is a dynamic mix that aims to ride upside markets while limiting downside using a layered decision tree.
CheckmarkValue prop
Adaptive growth-and-hedge strategy with ~52% annualized OOS return vs ~19% for SPY, and Calmar ~1.17. Offers higher upside, diversified hedges, and cash ballast to cushion drawdowns—targeting stronger long-run growth than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
