About

Daily rule-based S&P 500 timer. In uptrends it stays long (sometimes with leverage). When momentum cools or falls, it de‑risks into hedges, shorts, bonds, or cash. Uses moving averages, an RSI hot/cold gauge, and drawdown triggers to switch fast.
NutHow it works
It checks the market’s trend and “heat.” Trend = price vs 200/20‑day averages. Heat = RSI (a hot/cold meter: high = stretched, low = washed‑out). In uptrends it holds S&P 500 funds (sometimes with leverage). When stretched or weak, it cuts risk, hedges, or goes short. Deep drops move it to cash/bonds. Daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this rule-based trend strategy targets ~55.6% annualized return vs SPY's ~19.8%, with Calmar ~1.00 and solid Sharpe. It leverages uptrends and hedges downturns for disciplined risk control vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
