About
A rule-based “seatbelt”: default to a tech‑heavy stock basket, switch to Treasuries in turmoil, and use a UVXY hedge when the market looks overheated—driven by 10‑day signals from VOOG.
It uses VOOG (a growth‑stock ETF) as a market thermometer. On each check:
• If VOOG’s last‑10‑day volatility is very high, move into TLT (long U.S. Treasuries).
• Else if VOOG looks overheated (10‑day RSI > 79; RSI ≈ 0–100 buying‑pressure gauge), buy UVXY (a volatility “airbag”).
• Otherwise, split equally across 14 stocks/ETFs (tech‑heavy plus health, consumer, industry, solar).
Out-of-sample edge: ~26.3% annualized return vs ~21.1% for S&P, with Calmar ~1.22. Regime-switch hedges (Treasuries in turmoil, UVXY) aim to cap losses, though drawdowns run higher (~21.6%).
