About

A daily tactical strategy: hedge with VIX when stocks look overheated, buy 3x tech when washed out, guard against sharp drops, and otherwise choose between riding semiconductor-led tech strength or rotating into alternative trends (managed futures, vol, Treasuries, USD).
NutHow it works
Rules: - RSI (0–100 heat score): very high → hedge with UVXY (VIX); very low → buy 3x tech (TQQQ/TECL). - Big short‑term drop (“max drawdown”) → move to safety/hedges (BSV bonds or TMV, 3x inverse Treasuries). - Else: compare chip stocks (SMH) to managed‑futures (WTMF) and long/short stocks (FTLS). If chips stronger, ride 3x tech; if not, own the 3 strongest of TMF/TMV, SVXY/VIXM (vol), FTLS, KMLM (managed‑futures), or UUP (US dollar). Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Edge: 29.42% annualized out-of-sample return vs S&P 18.10%, with Calmar 0.93. Active, diversified tech-led rotations and hedges (vol, futures, bonds) aim for big upside while managing risk; downside: larger drawdowns (~31.5%) in stress.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
