A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

An all‑in, high‑risk tactical strategy that flips between 3× S&P 500 and 3× Nasdaq funds, going long or short using very short‑term trend and momentum signals (moving averages and RSI). Extremely volatile; can gain or lose value quickly.
NutHow it works
Checks SPY (S&P 500). If SPY is above its 2‑day average price, it trades the S&P 500: if the 5‑day average is above the 10‑day average, buy UPRO (3× long S&P); otherwise buy SPXU (3× short S&P). If SPY is below its 2‑day average, it trades the Nasdaq 100: if very recent strength (3‑day RSI) beats the 1‑month baseline (21‑day RSI), buy SQQQ (3× short Nasdaq); otherwise buy TQQQ (3× long Nasdaq). Always 100% in one fund.
CheckmarkValue prop
Regime-driven, 3x levered strategy that switches between S&P 500 and Nasdaq using ultra-short-term trend/momentum signals. OOS return ~20.8% vs SPY ~21.4%; aims to capture fast moves and diversify market regimes, but comes with higher volatility and drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
