About
A growth-focused portfolio that leans heavily into U.S. stocks—especially tech—while using staples, gold, short-term Treasuries, and a rising-rates hedge to try to smooth the ride.
This is mostly a fixed mix portfolio. About half goes into U.S. stocks, with extra emphasis on technology and chip makers. The rest goes into defenses: everyday-necessities companies, gold, very short-term Treasury bonds, and a fund that can benefit when long-term bond prices fall. It resets back to its target mix once a year.
Out-of-sample Sharpe 1.87 vs 1.33, Calmar 2.34, max drawdown 8.0% vs 18.8%. Lower beta (0.43) with growth tilt plus rate hedge (short Treasuries, gold, staples) and annual rebalance for steadier, risk-adjusted upside.
