About

Goal: sleep at night by rotating between aggressive tech exposure and safe assets (Treasuries, T‑Bills, staples, volatility, managed futures) using “hot/cold” and trend checks, plus selective emerging‑markets timing.
NutHow it works
It’s a rules-based, multi-sleeve portfolio that flips between offense and defense using simple checks: RSI (a short-term hot/cold meter), choppiness, and trend. - Offense when big-tech looks calm/oversold: TECL/SOXL/TQQQ/SPXL (leveraged tech/semis/S&P). - Defense when hot/jumpy: TLT (Treasuries), BIL (T‑Bills), XLP (staples), VIXY (vol). - If tech weak, pivot to KMLM (managed futures) or market‑neutral (BTAL/FTLS). - Foreign: buy EEM only in uptrends; else EEV (inverse).
CheckmarkValue prop
Sleep-at-night, rule-based strategy. Out-of-sample: ~35.54% annualized vs SPY 36.35%, but much lower drawdown (9.59% vs 12.05%) and Calmar ~3.71— offering similar upside with stronger risk control and diversification.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
