About

Rules-based “sleep at night” portfolio that dials risk up or down. It seeks tech-led upside in calm trends (sometimes with 3x funds) and pivots to Treasuries, cash-like T‑bills, volatility hedges, or inverse ETFs when markets overheat—plus a managed‑futures and EM sleeve.
NutHow it works
Three sleeves. Core: When markets look calm/strong it owns tech-heavy stocks (QQQ; sometimes 3x funds). If hot or jumpy it shifts to defenses: PSQ (short QQQ), TLT (Treasuries), BIL (T‑bills), VIXY (volatility). KMLM switcher: Buys brief dips in 3x funds; if overheated, parks in VIXY/TLT/BIL; otherwise uses KMLM (managed‑futures). Foreign: When inflation trend (RINF) rises, it toggles between EEM (emerging markets) and EEV (its inverse). Signals: trend (moving averages), speed (RSI: high=hot; low=washed‑out), volatility.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 38% annualized return vs 32% for the S&P, 11.2% max drawdown vs 13.7%, Calmar ~3.38 and Sharpe ~1.35. A rules-based, multi-sleeve strategy that captures tech upside and hedges risk for sleep-at-night investing.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
