About

A tactical “sleep at night” plan: push hard into tech-led growth in calm uptrends, and quickly shift to Treasuries, cash, defensives, gold, managed futures, or hedges when markets overheat or crack. Goal: strong upside with smaller drawdowns.
NutHow it works
Three sleeves switch using simple dials: heat (RSI, 0–100), trend (moving averages), and bumpiness (volatility). 1) Core: if tech is calm/trending, lean into growth (Nasdaq/tech/semis incl. 3x funds like TQQQ/TECL/SOXL/SPXL). If hot or falling, pivot to Treasuries (TLT/IEI), cash (BIL), defensives (VPU/XLP), gold (GLD/GDX), or hedges (VIXY/UVXY, PSQ). 2) KMLM sleeve: swaps between managed futures (KMLM), long/short (FTLS), bond/dollar tilts (TMF/TMV/UUP), or quick dip-buys. 3) Small EM sleeve: EEM on/off using inflation trend (RINF). Note: includes leveraged/inverse funds—swings can be large.
CheckmarkValue prop
Sleep-at-night strategy delivers near-SPY growth with stronger risk control: out-of-sample drawdown 11.2% vs SPY 13.7%, Calmar 2.48, and 27.8% annualized return vs 29.2% - a more resilient, risk-adjusted path to compounding.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
