About

A rules-based, trend-aware portfolio. When stocks trend up, it holds mostly US stocks (tilted to Nasdaq) plus gold, dollar, bonds, and commodities. When trend weakens, it shifts to gold, long Treasuries, dollar, and a small tactical QQQ/hedge sleeve.
NutHow it works
It first asks: is the S&P 500 above its long‑term average? If yes: 60% stocks (SPY/QQQ/DIA), plus GLD 15%, UUP 15%, TLT 5%, DBC 5%. If no: TLT 30%, GLD 30%, UUP 10%, 20% DBC‑or‑GLD by trend, and a 10% tech sleeve that buys QQQ when very oversold (RSI<30), else holds QQQ or hedges with PSQ/SHY. No set rebalancing.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.82 vs 1.43, max drawdown 9% vs 19%, Calmar ~2.10. Trend-driven, diversified mix (stocks, gold, USD, bonds, commodities) aims for steadier gains and far smaller losses than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
