About

A weekly, high-risk switcher that swings 90% between 3x China, 2x gold, VIX volatility, or 3x Nasdaq based on recent drops and overbought signals, while always keeping 5% gold and 5% bitcoin.
NutHow it works
Each week, 90% follows this path: 1) If YINN (3x China stocks) just had a very large drop from a recent high (max drawdown >~30%), buy YINN. 2) Else if UGL (2x gold) had a big drop (>~15%), buy UGL. 3) Else if SPY’s RSI>70 (US market looks overheated), buy UVXY (leveraged VIX). 4) Else if TQQQ (3x Nasdaq 100) stayed calm, buy TQQQ; otherwise UGL. Plus a constant 10%: 5% GLD (gold) + 5% GBTC (bitcoin).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: Sharpe 2.16 vs 1.38, Calmar 11.36, annualized return ~114.6% vs SPY ~16.8%. A weekly 90% tactical mix (China, gold, VIX, Nasdaq) plus 5% gold/5% bitcoin targets higher risk-adjusted growth and diversification beyond the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
