A high-risk strategy that tries to profit from two things: sudden market fear after overheated rallies, and quick rebounds after sharp pullbacks. When neither setup appears, it falls back to a growth-and-dividend stock basket.

This strategy constantly asks 3 questions: 1) Have stocks run up too far, too fast? If yes, it buys UVXY, a very aggressive fund that can jump when market fear rises. 2) If not, is market fear already running hot? If yes, it usually buys VIXM, another volatility fund. 3) If not, has tech, chips, or the broad market fallen hard lately? If yes, it buys that dip with leveraged funds. Otherwise it holds 4 stock funds focused on growth and dividends.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
