About

Monthly, concentrated bet on NVIDIA or Eli Lilly. 80% uses stock and bond trends (SPY, BND, TLT) to choose between them; 20% simply holds whichever of the two has been stronger lately.
NutHow it works
Monthly split: 80% core, 20% rotator. - 80%: If SPY (S&P 500) was weak over ~2 weeks, hold LLY (Eli Lilly). Otherwise, if BND (broad US bonds) rose over ~3 months, buy NVDA (NVIDIA). If not, use TLT (long Treasuries): if its long-term trend looks weak vs last week, pick LLY; else NVDA. - 20%: hold whichever of NVDA/LLY has stronger ~3‑month momentum.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return: 32.8% vs SPY 18.6%; Calmar ~1.12. A disciplined, rule-based momentum strategy focused on NVDA/LLY offers higher upside with favorable risk-adjusted return, but larger drawdowns than SPY may occur.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
