About

A QQQ‑focused tactical strategy. In uptrends it holds QQQ unless momentum looks overheated, then shifts to BTAL or T‑Bills. In downtrends it buys oversold tech or SPY, otherwise hides in BTAL or cash. Uses simple trend and RSI signals; rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Daily: 1) Big trend check—if the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, hold QQQ (Nasdaq‑100) unless short‑term momentum looks overheated (using fast RSI on leveraged TQQQ/SPXL). If it’s too hot, switch to defense: BTAL (low‑beta long/short) or BIL (T‑Bills). 2) If SPY is below its 200‑day, buy sharp dips (XLK or SPY) when RSI is very low; if not, use a 20‑day trend/RSI check to choose BTAL, BIL, or default to QQQ. RSI 0–100: high=hot, low=cold.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this QQQ-driven strategy delivers ~31.4% annualized return vs 21.5% for the S&P, with smaller drawdowns (~16.0% vs ~18.8%), higher Sharpe (~1.41 vs ~1.29) and Calmar ~1.96—offering more upside with better downside protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
