About
A daily rule-based strategy that usually holds QQQ, but moves to defensive positions when the market looks too hot or too weak, and sometimes buys short-term rebounds in tech or the broad market.
This strategy checks the market every day and always picks one holding.
Its main idea: own QQQ (big Nasdaq stocks like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia) when the market looks healthy. If stocks look too overheated, it steps into safer choices like BIL (short-term Treasury bills) or BTAL (a defensive fund). If the market looks weak, it may briefly buy SPY or XLK when they look unusually beaten down and likely to bounce.
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets higher growth with lower risk than the S&P 500: ~24.1% annualized return vs 19.6%, max drawdown ~16% vs ~18.8%, Calmar ~1.50, via daily QQQ rotations and defensive hedges.
