About

A daily, one‑ETF strategy. Uses a long‑term trend line and a short‑term “heat meter” to rotate among: JEPQ/JEPI (income from stocks + options), XLK (tech), BTAL (defensive anti‑beta), or BIL (T‑Bills).
NutHow it works
Each day: 1) Trend check: Is the S&P 500 above its 200‑day average? (Uptrend vs downtrend.) Uptrend: If a 10‑day “heat meter” on leveraged Nasdaq is very hot → BTAL (defensive). Else if broad market heat is very hot → BIL (T‑Bills). Else → JEPQ (Nasdaq stocks + options income). Downtrend: If tech is very cold → XLK (tech). Else if market is very cold → JEPI (S&P stocks + options income). Else if tech’s short‑term trend is down → BTAL. Else if inverse Nasdaq is very cold → BIL. Else → JEPQ.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted returns with less market risk. Sharpe ~1.53 vs 1.29, drawdown ~14% vs 19%, annualized ~28.7% vs 21.5%, beta ~0.74. More growth with lower volatility than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
