About

A tactical Bitcoin play: when the Bitcoin trend is up, own the strongest mover among Coinbase, Bitcoin miners, or a 2× Bitcoin ETF; when the trend is down and the drop is sharp, switch to a short‑Bitcoin ETF. Concentrated, high risk, momentum‑driven.
NutHow it works
It checks the trend using BITO (a Bitcoin ETF): if BITO’s 50‑day average price is above its 200‑day average, it buys the single “hottest” pick among COIN (Coinbase), MARA/BITF (Bitcoin miners), or BITX (a 2× Bitcoin ETF). If the trend is down and BITO fell >10% in the last 30 days, it buys BITI (an ETF that rises when Bitcoin falls); otherwise it still uses the “hottest” pick. Rebalances only when weights drift ~5%.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: 51.4% annualized return vs 21.8% for the S&P, driven by crypto momentum in the hottest assets and a hedge via inverse BTC during sharp declines. Much higher upside, but with larger drawdown risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
