About

A daily‑rebalanced bundle of very simple ETF rules: ride QQQ in healthy uptrends, shift to defensives, Treasuries, cash, or gold when trends weaken, and use small, short‑lived hedges (VIXY) or 2x QQQ (QLD) at extremes.
NutHow it works
It splits money across several simple rule sets and checks them daily. It owns QQQ (big tech) in uptrends, rotates to defensive sectors (XLP, XLU, XLV), Treasuries/cash (TLT/SHY/BIL), global stocks (VT) or gold (GLD) when weak. “RSI” is a 0–100 heat gauge: high = overheated, low = washed‑out. It also uses moving averages (e.g., 200‑day) to tell trend. At extremes it may briefly use QLD (2x QQQ), PSQ (short QQQ) or VIXY (volatility hedge).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this rules-based ETF rotation delivers superior risk-adjusted returns: higher Sharpe (≈2.77 vs 2.47), lower drawdowns (≈4% vs 5%), and a strong Calmar (~6.2) with ~24.6% annualized return—versus the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
