About

A daily, rules-based blend of simple strategies that buys tech/world stocks in uptrends and rotates to defensive sectors, Treasuries, cash, or gold in weak markets, with occasional tail hedges (VIXY), rebound buys (QLD), or tech shorts (PSQ).
NutHow it works
It splits your money evenly across several tiny rule sets. Each rule uses simple signals: RSI = a quick “hot/cold” meter; moving average = a trend line. When stocks trend up, it holds QQQ (big US tech) or VT (world). If trend weakens, it shifts to defensives (XLP/XLU/XLV), bonds/cash (TLT/SHY/BIL), or gold (GLD). It may add VIXY as a crash hedge, QLD after big drops, or PSQ to bet against tech in downtrends.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 2.75 vs 2.53; max drawdown 3.97% vs 5.07%; Calmar 6.05; annualized return 24% vs SPY 29%; lower beta (~0.72). A rules-based, diversified rotation designed for smoother upside and stronger risk control.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
