About

Rules-driven, tech-focused strategy. Uses a 200‑day trend filter and a short‑term “heat gauge” to toggle between leveraged Nasdaq exposure, a volatility hedge, Treasuries, cash/bonds, and two steady stocks. Aggressive in uptrends, defensive in downtrends.
NutHow it works
1) Trend check: if the S&P 500 sits above its 200‑day average, it’s “risk‑on”; otherwise “defensive.” RSI is a 0–100 heat gauge of recent moves (>80 very hot, <31 very cold). Risk‑on: if things are very hot short‑term, switch to a volatility spike hedge; otherwise ride the Nasdaq‑100 with 2x–3x funds or a QQQ+leveraged‑Treasury mix, chosen by a medium‑term strength read. Defensive: if tech is washed out, try a brief 3x tech bounce; otherwise split roughly into T‑Bills/cash, a small sleeve that can short tech or sit in bonds (or occasionally go long tech) based on short‑term signals, and two steady stocks (Costco, UnitedHealth).
CheckmarkValue prop
Rules-driven Nasdaq tilt with dynamic hedges offers outsized upside. OOS annualized return ~50% vs ~21% for the S&P; Calmar ~1.44 and Sharpe ~1.14 indicate strong risk-adjusted gains, with higher drawdowns (~34%) in downturns, buffered by hedges.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
